Marc by Marc Jacobs pea coat jacket, sz. S

This polka dot pea coat jacket from Marc by Marc Jacobs takes a classic and gives it a cute twist. The coat's shape and tailoring are kept classic and uncomplicated, with a double breasted fastening and high cut lapel. Black fabric is given a retro twist with the polka dots.

I waited and waited for it to go on sale because I LOVED this piece…but alas, it just wasn't structured enough for my figure and didn't suit me. This needs to go to a home where it will be worn and loved!

Materials: cotton and wool

Condition: Almost new

Paid: $180 (on sale)

1. What kinds of items can I list for sale?

The intention of the blog is to buy and sell designer, unique (i.e. handmade, one-of-a-kind) or vintage items of clothing and accessories rather than trendy, fast-fashion pieces. However, if a seller has something in new or excellent condition from stores such as H&M, Zara, etc, feel free to list it here.

2. How do I become a seller on this blog?

If you would like to become a regular seller, please contact us at thechicfriperie [at] gmail [dot] com and we will provide you with the administrative rights to create listings. If you have only a few items you would like posted, please send us the details (as outlined in guideline no. 2 above), and we will post the item(s) on your behalf.

3. What is a reasonable asking price for an item?

Generally speaking, if the item is new and unused, a discount of at least 30% from the paid price (not retail) would be reasonable. For articles which have been worn, a discount of at least 50% (depending on the item’s condition), should be offered. Ultimately however, it is up to the seller to decide what he/she is comfortable with.
